  • animals
  • plants, bees and ants
  • marine pests.

Notifiable animal diseases

Each state and territory has a list of notifiable animal diseases. By law you must report any signs or symptoms of these diseases.

Steps you must take

There are actions you need to take after reporting. You need to follow the exotic disease outbreak protocol until the government veterinarian arrives.

Reporting new organisms or pathogens
